The company consolidated its 11 divisions into four regions and centralized center-store merchandising under a single enterprise team. Albertsons views ACI Edge as the first step in a broader turnaround to improve operating performance and strengthen competitiveness.
As part of this effort, the company is reviewing its customer strategy, cost structure, operating model, banner portfolio, market assets, and businesses, as well as capital allocation priorities. Albertsons has pulled its fiscal 2026 outlook and will not provide an updated forecast until the business review is complete.
Susan Morris, Albertsons CEO, stated that although the company’s second-quarter performance was in line with the expectations in its revised outlook, the results do not reflect the potential of the company. The company’s business review aims to identify opportunities to simplify the organization, improve decision-making, and reinvest savings in customer value.
